Aluminium louvre gratings for facade

For façade construction, the weight of galvanised steel can be a limiting factor, especially for cantilever constructions where the leverage effect exerts large forces on the supporting structure. In such cases, aluminium can be chosen alongside steel. The specific gravity of aluminium is 2700 kg/m3 and thus a factor of 3 lighter than steel, which has a specific gravity of 7800 kg/m3.
