Extended lifetime
In the past, gratings were protected against rust by being immersed in a container of liquid bitumen, or black tar. Today, our products are hot-dip galvanised, allowing a grating to easily reach a life of 50 years even in the open air, without the need for painting or treatment.
Cradle to cradle
For the tender for the town hall in Venlo, it was a hard requirement that the ventilation gratings had to have a C2C certificate. Dejo has held this certificate since 2010, proving that the grilles meet the requirements in the field of circularity and recycling.
Buy-back guarantee
Since 2017, dejo has been selling projects with the option of a buy-back guarantee. Upon return receipt, the gratings undergo a thorough inspection. Based on this, it is decided whether the grating will have a second life or be disposed of for recycling.
Used gratings
We regularly have in stock batches of used gratings and treads which can be sold at a greatly reduced price. These gratings have undergone a thorough inspection and, on this basis, we can draw up an appropriate warranty statement.
Refurbished rooster
The photo shows two gratings returned from a project we delivered 30 years ago. One grating has been de-galvanised and then re-galvanised after which it can go on to a second life as a "refurbished grating" for which we will draw up a customised warranty declaration.
Recycling
Damaged and partially rusted gratings can be recycled effortlessly so that raw materials are not lost. Should inspection reveal that the gratings are unsaleable due to technical defects or obsolete dimensions, the batch will be resold to our customers specialising in steel shredding and recycling.
