Thermisch verzinken
Hot-dip galvanising provides protection against external influences. The materials are immersed in special baths where they are degreased, pickled and rinsed. The chemical pre-treatment ends with a special flux bath in which the material is coated with an adhesive layer. The drying oven is followed by the bath with liquid zinc (450 degrees Celsius). The steel and zinc form zinc alloy layers and a zinc oxide layer. These layers give the material decades of protection, even under the most extreme conditions. The zinc layer thickness and finish are laid down in the NEN-EN-ISO 1461 standard.
Elektrostatisch poedercoaten
This technology provides the material with extra protection while giving it an attractive appearance. Galvanised steel, stainless steel and aluminium products can be powder-coated in any RAL colour.
Coating maintenance
For a long service life, it is important to clean the coating regularly. This prevents chlorides from adhering to the coating, which could reduce its lifetime
