Landing piers are often made of wood. According to Mr Nagel's own design, a jetty was designed with concrete foundations, steel girders and galvanised gratings. The whole is finished with a wooden bumper. This jetty has minimal maintenance costs and a guaranteed longer lifespan than wood. The growth of moss and dirt is minimal and the gratings are easy to walk on even with bare feet, as small 22x22 meshes were chosen.
